Creativity has always been part of my life. My parents had no TV, but they played music and sang in choral groups. We went to all the museums in Chicago, and to concerts and ballets. At home we tried creating things in many different mediums to entertain ourselves.
Art was always my favorite class at school. I consider myself lucky to have gone to schools that had well equipped art departments. I studied jewelry in college and have been exploring jewelry for over 40 years now. I individually handmake all my jewelry. I prefer working directly with the metal, shaping and soldering. I love colors, and always prefered to work with colored stones.
The bright colors dichroic glass was love at first sight for me. I had to learn how to work with glass as soon as I saw dichroic glass.
Designs and ideas come to me continuously, more than I can ever make. These days I create things in groups, making many variations of one idea.
I have sold my work many different ways. I like the internet because I can reach many people without leaving my studio.
